Sky Landscape Artist of the Year Wildcard Winner to give demonstration to Dunmow Art Group members. Dunmow Art Group is excited to host a demonstration by acclaimed artist Lucia Hardy in February. Lucia will be giving a talk and demonstration at the Talberd Room, Foakes Hall, Great Dunmow, on Wednesday 19th February from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. Lucia Hardy is an artist based in Harold Wood, painting expressive and dynamic birds, wildlife and wild British landscapes in acrylics. She paints outdoors (en plein air) and in her garden studio. Her paintings are vibrant, emotive and bring a sense of connection - always inspired by nature’s strength and resilience. Her process involves a layered approach including research, sketching and exploring ideas. When painting she works instinctively and enjoys discovering what will appear. She has exhibited at the Oxo Tower and Truman Brewery with Roy’s Art Fair. In 2023, Lucia also featured on Sky Art’s ‘Sky Landscape Artist of the Year’ TV programme when she was the heat Wildcard winner at Royal Ascot’s picnic area. The painting demonstration costs £1 for members of Dunmow Art Group and £5 for non-members. Dunmow Art Group has a long history of supporting artists and art lovers in Dunmow and the surrounding area and has a regular programme of weekly art meetings and monthly visiting artists.
