Announcing the dates of our Autumn Exhibition

__________________________________________________________________________

Today is the first day of Our Spring Exhibition.  Please come and support your local art group

__________________________________________________________________________

Dunmow Art Group is excited to host a demonstration by acclaimed semi-abstract landscape artist Paul Bailey in March.

Paul will be painting a semi-abstract landscape at Foakes Hall, Great Dunmow, on Wednesday 15th March from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.

Originally from Essex, Mr Bailey now lives and works in mid-Wales amongst the mountains and moors. The wild, windswept tracts of the Cambrian mountains, Radnor hills and the Brecon Beacons are his major source of inspiration. However, thoughts of the East Anglian coastline and its interior farmland are never far from his mind.

“The semi-abstract nature of my work, my use of non-traditional techniques, my bold compositions and my dynamic use of colour help portray the varied British landscape in a new, vivid and surprising way,” he said.

His work can be found within private collections and galleries throughout the world. He also supplies commissioned pieces to international and domestic interior design companies and private collectors.

His live demonstration will be a semi-abstract rural landscape, taking viewers through his process as he demonstrates his technique and answers questions. It costs £1 for members of Dunmow Art Group and £5 for non-members.

In light of the current uncertainty around coronavirus, the Dunmow Art Group committee has made the decision to postpone all classes until further notice. This includes the Monday afternoon classes and the still life sessions on Wednesday evenings.

We are currently looking into whether we continue to hold the annual DAG art exhibition at the end of April, so will keep you updated.

Please check the Dunmow Art Group Facebook page for updates and feel free to share any artwork on there. It will help everyone feel connected in spirit, if not in body!
