Plein Air - Summer 2025

Monday 28 July  Tracey Evans,  Adam Huttes House, Bacon End,  CM6 1JW.

What Three Words: flexibly. texted. kingdom - An interesting house and delightful garden a walk away from Anne Oates’ house and garden with her Shepherd’s Hut studio

Tuesday 5 August   Rayne Station Café  67 Station Road, Rayne CM77 6AB

What Three Words:  meanings.afflicted.purely - The now disused railway station still retains the Victorian booking office (now a café serving hot drinks and cake! ) and a railway carriage. The station backs on to the Flitch Way so we have a mixture of railway architecture and the adjacent countryside.

Monday 11 August  Thremhall Park Coffee Shop, Start Hill, Bishops Stortford CM22 7WE

What Three Words: classmate. sample. jetting - Located in the grounds of Thremhall Park, a neo-Georgian building set in 12 acres of historic parkland. A Grade ll listed building with formal gardens, pond and wild areas. The Coffee Shop sells wonderful tea and cakes. If you are early, lunches too! Meet by the Coffee Shop. NB do not forget to register your car numberplate in the Café on arrival

Monday 18 August  Trish Macleod, Hogs Farm , Ongar Road, Dunmow, Essex, CM6 1JL

What Three Words: curving. panther. thighs - Alpacas, pigs and other animals

Tuesday 26 August  Ruth Church. Jeffery's ,  Bustard Green, Lindsell CM6 3QP

What Three Words: amplified. vertical. evenly - Take Daisylea Lane out of Lindsell.( Entering Lindsell by Prior’s Hall Farm, turn right) At end of tarmac continue along the unmade road. Jeffrey’s is the only house on the right. An attractive older brick house set in a pretty garden surrounded by countryside and open common. It is hoped that the common land may be being harvested for hay at the time of our visit.
