Just over 5 weeks until our Open Studios! (27 -30 June) Today, enjoy the spotlight on Audrey Bowling (Studio ‘F’) "I am a mixed-media artist working with an emphasis on collage. The shapes & colours of the landscape provide inspiration, alongside the materials & found objects I use. This inspiration leads in many directions, including abstract, seeing things from a different perspective, & bringing other sensations into play. I’m also fascinated by found objects, especially those rusty washers, keys, bits of wire, etc discarded by society. I use them in my work to give balance & texture, whilst giving them a life beyond their original purpose. Alongside this, there will be examples of my weaving."
