Self-taught artist Louise paints landscapes & floral still life. Inspired by big skies & rural North Essex, she paints ‘en plein air’ using quick, broad, brush strokes. As well as oils, Louise paints in watercolours, enjoying its fluidity & transparency. She sketches regularly in charcoal & pastels. Louise reproduces her watercolour floral paintings on tea towels, napkins & lampshades. DAG committee member Louise is a regular tutor for watercolour classes & helps run the calendar of visiting artists & the annual exhibition. Louise was a ‘wildcard’ entrant on the 2018 & 19 Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year. Louise Man will be taking part in Dunmow Art Group's Open Studios event.
