Open Studios - Jo Mayo

This is Ballachulish by Jo Mayo.  Jo is drawn to Nature and Landscape, acrylic painting. Jo's work combines aspects of Realism, Impressionism and Painterly Art style. Jo also produces figurative paintings, some abstract and still life. In Western Australia she learnt to make decorative, glazed, earthenware ceramic sculpture and gained qualifications in Fine Art & Visual Communication (including Graphic Design). Painting and sculpture are her meditative practices. The tactile and unpredictable nature of clay is a delight! Some of her artwork was inspired whilst volunteering for Just Home Western Australia, a movement working to generate positive ideas around homelessness and marginalization.Jo is the last of our featured artists who will be taking part in Dunmow Art Group's Open Studios this weekend.
