Week 1 Acrylics with Tracey Ingram

Today was the first week of a four week set of classes with local artist and Dunmow Art Group member, Tracey Ingram.   Over the couse of the 4 sessions, Tracey will be taking us step by step through painting animals.   For this first week, we concentrated on sketching out and doing the initial wash and background. Here's a sample of some of the works so far.

As always,  people are welcome to join us and do there own thing.

For Monday's class please can you bring along your own artwork that you are working on. 1pm till 3pm. Also, Debbie has offered to bring along her mount cutter if anyone would like some mounts cut. If you would like some mounts cut, please contact Debbie directly (mobile number has been emailed to you) Please also remember to bring along your own mugs to make yourself a cuppa.

 

🎄🎄It was lovely to see so many faces, both new and old, at the Dunmow Art Group Christmas AGM last night! Congratulations to Maxine, who won the very first ‘John Grimshaw Award’ for her amazing work on this year’s theme ‘birds’! Maxine has chosen the theme for 2025 which will be ‘water’. If we don’t see you before, we would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! 🎄🎄

 

Monday's Do Your Own Thing

After the hard work with Graham Webber over the last few weeks, this week was a more relaxed bring your own work session.  Whilst some worked on Christmas cards,  others worked on bigger pieces in a variety of mediums, subjects and styles. Here's a sample.
