Interesting Insight with Edward Gildea

Many thanks to Edward Gildea for such an interesting and insightful talk this Evening.  We shall be looking at artworks in a very different light in future,  and try to spot the elephant in the painting.

Nicky Gayle Monday 2 September

We are excited that Artist Nicky Gayle will be our tutor for three weeks. Do look her work up online, it is very colourful and vibrant!

Monday 2nd, 9th and 16th of September 2024.

Times from 12.00 to 3.00pm

Nicky has provided a photo of some trees taken in the woods in Danbury which will be used for the composition.
Nicky will be starting with the background and build up on Monday and see how far you get on day 1.

Rayne Station

The last of our summer plein air sessions took place at Rayne Station. Time for drawing trees, the old station building and the wandering Flitch Way.

A smaller group than usual due to the change of day, but a pleasant time was had.

Last week with Leon Barnes and Oil

What an inspiring 4 weeks with Leon Barnes.  This week was a sunset over mountains. Even I who doesn't really like oils found this easy to follow.  Sadly our last session, although we are arranging a second visit by Leon next year.  Here's a sample of today's artworks.
